He completed a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan as a part-time student in 2016. Apart from academic activities in the Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, he was involved in establishing various labs of mechanical engineering and served as an academic coordinator. He received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University, South Korea, in August 2021. His research interests include neuromodulation using acupuncture and electrical stimulation, fNIRS-based brain imaging, and brain-computer interfaces.

He has over eight years of academic, research, and industrial experience both at universities and in private companies. Dr. Xiaosu Hu is a cognitive neuroscientist with engineer background. His research interest is brain imaging methodologies including functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) & electroencephalogram (EEG) and their applications. His methodological research includes fNIRS and EEG data analysis methods and interface development. His applied researches are using fNIRS to study human daily behavior accompanied brain responses, including pain evoked human brain response, different mental states while people are driving, and the pediatric brain responses in language acquisition, etc.

He has joined the School of Electrical Engineering, HUST, Vietnam, since 2003. His current research interests include chaos and routes to chaos in neuron models, synchronization and bifurcation control of neural systems, brain dynamics and neurological diseases, and brain imaging techniques. -

Hyun-Chul Sohn received his B.S. Degree from the Department of Control and Mechanical Engineering, M.S. and Ph.D. Degrees from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University, Busan, Korea, in 1998, 2000, and 2011, respectively. He has been with the Daeheung R&T Co., Ltd. since 2003. Daeheung is one of the key companies that provide automotive parts to Hyundai and Kia Motors, and further extending their suppliers to the leading companies including GM and European automotive companies. His research interests include robust control and adaptive control, nonlinear modeling and control of semi-active suspension systems, study of nonlinear dynamics, and optimization design of hydraulic anti-vibration rubber.

Chang-Sei Kim received the B.S. degree in control and mechanical engineering from Pusan National University, Busan, Korea in 1998, the M.S. degree in mechanical and production engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Pusan National University in 2011. From 2013 to 2017, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Maryland College Park. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the school of mechanical engineering in Chonnam National University, Korea. His current research interest covers dynamic system modeling and control applications to robotic system and biomedical system, and practical industrial system.

Nung-Seo Park was born in Yesan, Korea, in 1972. He received his B.S. and M.S. Degrees from the Department of Automotive Engineering, Hanyang University, in 1996 and 1998, respectively. He received the degree of Ph.D. from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University, in 2011. Dr. Park was a Research Engineer at Daewoo Motors Ltd. until 2001. Since 2001, I had been with LG Electronics Ltd. from 2001 to 2012 developing control systems of dishwashers. His research interests include washing motor control systems and noise reduction of washing motors.

Ji-Hyoung Lee received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Kon-Kuk University, Seoul, Korea, in 1992 and 1994, respectively. Since 1994, he has been working with the Department of Factory Automation in Hyundai Heavy Industries Ltd., Korea. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Intelligent Systems Engineering, Pusan National University, Pusan, Korea. His research interests include robotics, adaptive robust control, factory automation, visually guided tracking systems for welding, and open architecture systems.

Kyung-Tae Hong received the B.S. degree in electronic and communication engineering from Kumoh National Institute of Technology in 2000 and MS and Ph.D. degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in 2002 and 2006, respectively from Pusan National University, Busan, Korea. Since then, He had been in postdoctoral fellow with Industry-University Joint Consortium for Next Generation Core Machine Parts and Materials in Pusan National University (http://bk21.me.pusan.ac.kr). From December 8, 2007, He has been working for Technology Research Institute, Technology Center, Doosan Engine in Changwon, Korea as a senior research engineer and carrying out various challenging research projects on diesel engine and HTSGM(High Temperature Superconducting Generator and Motor). He is a member of KIASC(Korea Institute of Applied Superconductivity and Cryogenics), KSS(Korean Superconductivity Society), and ICROS. His research interests include HTSMG, diesel engine control and monitoring systems, multiplex communication interface, and signal processing systems.

Sung-Lin Choi was born in 1958, Seoul, Korea. He attended Joongang High School, Seoul, and graduated in 1977. Then, he entered Dankook University, Seoul, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1982. After graduation he worked with the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), Korea for 20 years, where he carried out numerous projects including 40 mm Naval Gun System Development, MK 32 Torpedo Launching System Development and Naval Weapon System Test Range (NWSTR) Project, etc. Especially, he has focused on the tracking accuracy test of radar, sonar and electronic warfare test for 11 years. During his work with ADD, Sung-Lin received his Master of Science Degree with the thesis, Dynamic Analysis of a Thick Plate Structure Considering Shock Load as a Ground Movement, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from Pusan National University in August 1990. After 7 years, in 1997, he relaunched his graduate study at the same university for his final degree, in which his research topics were tracking of multiple targets, and radar signal processing, and adaptive control of tracking parameter, and finally received his Ph.D. degree in August 2002. Recently, he moved to DTaQ in 2006 and has been working in the field of Defense Technology Planning. His research interests include tracking of multiple targets, radar signal processing, and adaptive control.

Tua Tamba is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Parahyangan Catholic University, Indonesia. He received the B.Eng. in Engineering Physics (2006) from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and the M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (2009) from Pusan National University, Korea. During 2010-2015, he was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Notre Dame, USA, where he also received both the MSEE and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands (September 2019) and at Hiroshima University, Japan (April 2023). His main research interests include dynamical systems, control theory, and optimization with applications in robotics, mechatronics, and automation systems.
