National Research Lab (NRL)

Prof. Hong's lab, Integrated Dynamics and Control Engineering Lab, was designated as a National Research Laboratory in 2003 by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Korea, in recognition of his research accomplishments in the field of automatic control. Also, Prof. Hong initiated the Department of Cogno-Mechatronics Engineering upon the World Class University Program funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea in 2009.
